At first, photography was simply how I connected with my friends.
I toyed around with digicams at 12, prompting me to steal my mother’s Nikon with a kit lens.
My best work is on a cheap camera —
When i was 18, my grandma died,
She left me a few thousand dollars and i bought my first professional camera.
Immortalized with every photo i take,
She brings life from death in an unusual way.
After studying business at university, I stayed in rural Appalachia.
— a laid back place full of tenacious and humble working-class folk.
There, immune to the pretentious fashion scene of New York,
I rotted regardless, hungry for something that I didn’t yet have the language to explain.
As a girl from North Carolina, I was elated to make New York City my second home,
A landing spot for my creative ambitions.
And in the 9 years that I have diligently made photography my full-time job,
I have found fullness and purpose in the story-telling,
the connections and relationships built,
and the humbling journey of always improving.
Here, I Ironically have grown a love for the industries: Weddings, Fashion, Commerce, and Brands.
Working on and off the clock to perfect my skill and refine my eye.
In the meantime, you can find me perfecting a litany of random artistic hobbies, playing around with 8mm or 16mm film, publishing poetry books, training Muay Thai, and being a professional extra on Netflix.
